// TRADERMATH VS OUTCRY
TraderMath vs Outcry Arcade
Both are built for trading-firm screens, and both give you timed practice tests in the browser. The difference is what happens around the numbers: Outcry adds a spoken interviewer, room noise and a 3D trading floor, because the round that ends most offers is not silent.

Where silent practice tests stop
A practice test on a quiet screen is the right way to learn a format. It is the wrong way to learn to hold that format together when a person is watching, speaking and changing the question. That is the skill the later rounds test, and it is trained only by doing it under the same conditions.
What Outcry does differently
- A 3D open-outcry pit where the floor asks for a market and trades against you.
- A spoken interviewer and ambient room sound, so your arithmetic holds up under noise.
- Negative marking where firms are reported to use it, so you practise skipping.
- Worked proofs for every brain teaser, public and free to read.
Use both if you like
Plenty of candidates learn a format on one tool and pressure-test it on another. If you already have a TraderMath plan, use Outcry's free drills and the free Screwy Pirates simulator, then open the pit for the week before your final round.

Frequently asked questions
Is Outcry a TraderMath alternative?
Yes. Both cover timed arithmetic, sequences and firm-style practice tests. Outcry adds a 3D open-outcry pit, a spoken interviewer and room noise, and full written proofs for brain teasers.
How much does Outcry cost?
The warm-up drills and the Screwy Pirates simulator are free. Interview Crunch is $69.99 for one month of full access, Recruiting Season $149.99 for three months and the Quant Offer Pass $249 for a year. Nothing renews.
Does Outcry have the same tests as TraderMath?
Outcry's mock screens are its own, built from candidate-reported formats for each firm: clock, item count and marking. Neither tool has a firm's real questions.
