About
Why this exists
We prepared for quant interviews the way almost everyone does: a PDF of a few hundred problems, read off a page, no clock. Then the real screen was eighty arithmetic questions in eight minutes, and a market-making round where the person on the other side knew whether the coin was fair. Knowing the answers was not the skill. Producing them at speed, while someone watched, was.
Outcry Arcade is the thing we wanted instead. Every problem is generated rather than stored, so there is nothing to memorise between runs. Every run has a clock, because every screen does. The report at the end says which skill cost you, not just what you scored.
Who makes it
A small team, working anonymously on purpose. One of us had an Erdős Institute project recognised as a top project; another is a double major in economics and mathematics. Every question and every scoring anchor is checked by a mathematics PhD before it ships.
Anonymity is a deliberate trade and it costs us something. A named team is easier to trust. What we can offer instead is work that is checkable: the formats cite the firms’ own published descriptions, the marking rules are stated on every sitting, and the methodology page sets out exactly how questions are built and where each format came from. Judge it on that rather than on a byline.
What is here
- 0160 short games across 13 subject labs, each one timed and scored.
- 0234 full-length mock screens modelled on firms’ published assessment formats.
- 0368 written guides: rules, strategy and worked solutions for every game.
- 04Free to play, four runs a day, no account. A pass removes the cap.
What this is not
Outcry Arcade is not affiliated with any firm named on this site, and has no access to any firm’s assessment content. Where a sitting reproduces a firm’s format, it is reproducing a publicly reported format, and every question in it is generated by us. It is not financial, investment or career advice, and it guarantees no hiring outcome.
If something here is wrong - a format that has changed, a question that does not hold up - tell us and it gets fixed. That is the whole quality process, and it works better when people use it.
