IMC screens on speed and accuracy rather than on arithmetic: the best-attested stage is BrainsFirst's NeurOlympics, four neuroscience-based games run for about 45 minutes. This sitting runs a battery in that spirit, then the 15-question quant screen reported for the trader track.

Format

• 2 sections · 75 items · about 65 minutes
• No negative marking - answer everything.
• No going back. Answer or skip, and the next item loads.
• Every sitting is generated fresh - a retake is a new paper.

Sections

• Reflex battery - 60 items, 45 minutes, no negative marking. 60 items in 45 minutes, about 45 seconds each. Rapid comparisons, pattern matching, working-memory holds and switching between two rules. Sustained accuracy at pace is the whole test.
• Quant trader screen - 15 items, 20 minutes, no negative marking. 15 items in 20 minutes. Probability, expected value, and the market intuition questions that separate a trading screen from a maths one.
