Both halves of Akuna's first-round HackerRank screen: 80 typed arithmetic items in 8 minutes, then 24 sequences in 12. The typed answers are the point - Optiver's 80-in-8 gives you four options to eliminate from, and this one gives you a blank box.
Format
- 2 sections · 104 items · about 20 minutes
- Negative marking: a wrong answer costs a mark, a skip costs nothing.
- No going back. Answer or skip, and the next item loads.

Sections
- Math test - 80 items, 8 minutes, 1 mark lost per wrong answer. 80 arithmetic items in 8 minutes, answers typed. Products, percentages, fractions, decimals and order of operations, mixed.
- Sequences test - 24 items, 12 minutes, 1 mark lost per wrong answer. 24 patterns in 12 minutes. Numeric series, letter series and short logical items - identify the rule, then apply it once.
