Outcry Arcade vs Tradermath: Trading Prep

Tradermath’s public site includes interview questions, firm-focused practice and coding exercises. Outcry offers its own arithmetic drills, generated mocks and games. Compare the tools by the work you need to practise; neither platform’s mock should be mistaken for an employer’s confidential assessment.

Worked example: mental arithmetic

Calculate 0.375 × 648 ÷ 0.75. Look for cancellation before performing decimal multiplication.

Write 0.375 = 3/8 and 0.75 = 3/4. Dividing the two gives 1/2.

The expression is therefore 648/2 = 324. Multiplying the decimals first also works, but creates extra steps. Practise recognising the ratio, then vary the operands so you are learning the reduction rather than the number 324.

A practice sequence

  • Build accuracy on fractions, percentages and decimal ratios.
  • Add a clock after the method is reliable.
  • Check the mock’s current scoring instructions before choosing a skip strategy; no verified firm cutoff is supplied here.

Compare progress using fresh work

After working the mental arithmetic example, change one condition and explain why your method still applies or needs to change. A correct answer is more useful when you can identify the model, justify the calculation and state its limits.

Outcry’s exercises supply their own game rules. Its mocks show counts, clocks, navigation and marking, with a source check identifying published employer details and practice adaptations. Check your invitation for the process you will actually sit.

Frequently asked questions

How should I combine Tradermath and Outcry?

Use a study resource to learn or review a method, then solve a changed example and explain your reasoning. The mental arithmetic exercise above gives a concrete starting point; no single resource or practice score guarantees a hiring outcome.

Are the example and timings an employer’s actual test?

No. This is original educational material with explicitly stated assumptions. Outcry mock settings are practice choices unless its source check identifies a published format element.

Where can I check pricing and access?

Use each provider’s current official pages. Outcry’s Pricing page lists its current plans and included features; this guide does not assert a universal competitor price or that every exercise is free.
